In religion Islam, Durood (Sallallahu o Alaihi Wasallam) is a complimentary Arabic phrase of a Muslim prayer. It is also necessary for a Muslim to say by heart “Sallallahu o Alaihi Wasallam” when their last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu o Alaihi Wasallam) name is mentioned in front of him. Muslim’ dua and wazaif are incomplete without Durood (Sallallahu o Alaihi Wasallam).
The importance of recitation of Durood Sharif is explained in the Quran, Allah says:
“Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace” (Translation of Surah Al-Ahzab ayat 56).
